Suffering @ CCG Pediatric Blog
To Suffer: to bear; as we say, to undergo. 1. To feel or bear what is painful.
You do not have to look very far to see someone that is suffering. Unfortunately it is a part of life. Illness, death, injury, relationships suffering is everywhere. How can a person cope? Tim Keller in his book Walking With God Through Pain and Suffering states:
“Suffering is unbearable if you aren’t certain that God is for you and with you.”
“But resurrection is not just consolation — it is restoration. We get it all back — the love, the loved ones, the goods, the beauties of this life — but in new, unimaginable degrees of glory and joy and strength.
If you know someone who is suffering, walk with them, LISTEN, help them to the best of your ability, you will be a better person for it. Also 211 offers help and can point people towards support groups.
